We're tickled as all get out to offer our Fixed-Blade, Gunsmith's Screwdriver Set designed and developed by gunsmiths for those gunsmiths who love solid, fixed-blade screwdrivers that fit their gun screws right - and simply won't have it any other way! THE PERFECT TIP & BLADE We started with the tip of the blade, the part that has to fit the gun screw properly, and the most important part of a gunsmith's screwdriver. The blade tips are then custom, precision-ground in a crisply radiused, hollow-ground shape to give maximum strength. And, the ideal parallel section is ground at the tip to fit the screw slot properly through the full width and depth of the slot. (This is what keeps you from buggering screws - a blade tip that evenly distributes the turning torque applied at the handle to the full width and depth of the screw slot.) We made the blades short (you're only 2½" from the workpiece) to give you maximum control, eliminate wobble and tilt. Yet, they are long enough to give you a good view of the work you are doing. Tolerances are kept extremely tight for the entire blade, and the entire blade/shank is hardened to Rc 58-60 for proper, maximum strength and toughness in a screwdriver. THE SHANK DESIGN The long parallel shank maintains the same diameter as the width of the blade. This allows repeated regrindings and reshapings while still maintaining the original blade width. In addition, it allows the screwdriver to go into holes or recesses that are only screw-slot wide. The hex section allows you to use either an open-end wrench or one of the Midget Ratchets for more turning power on the heavier blades. Finally, we put a size-sequence number - from 1 (smallest) to 20 (largest) on the hex section of each individual screwdriver so you can pick the size you want quickly. HANDLE CUSTOM-DESIGNED FOR YOU The handles are custom-made to our specifications to fit your hand well. They aren't too bulky, yet give a mighty good grip when large, tight screws have to be broken loose, and "fingertip" control when dealing with tiny, delicate screws. We use the same handle on all 20 screwdrivers to keep the same hand-fit and feel throughout the set. SETS AVAILABLE We've packaged the Screwdrivers four ways: the Starter Set™ has the 10 Screwdrivers highlighted in gray in the chart below. The Completer Set™ adds the remaining 10 and turns a Starter Set™ into the Master Set™. The Master Set™ has all 20 Screwdrivers, plus the properly radiused Bit Shaping Stone, and a bottle of Brownells Best Penetrating Oil™. To create the The Super Master Set™ we took the Master Set and added 6 Allen head fixed blade screwdrivers and 3 Phillips "Anti-Cam" screwdrivers. NONE of the four sets include the Bench Block - It's sold as a separate item and makes a great addition to your set, now or later. Infine, abbiamo messo un numero di sequenza di dimensione - da 1 (più piccolo) a 20 (più grande) sulla sezione esagonale di ogni singolo cacciavite in modo da poter scegliere rapidamente la dimensione desiderata. MANICO PROGETTATO SU MISURA PER TE I manici sono realizzati su misura secondo le nostre specifiche per adattarsi bene alla tua mano. Non sono troppo ingombranti, ma offrono una presa molto buona quando si devono allentare viti grandi e dure, e un controllo "a punta di dito" quando si tratta di viti piccole e delicate. Utilizziamo lo stesso manico su tutti e 20 i cacciaviti per mantenere la stessa adattabilità e sensazione in tutto il set. Il Set Completo™ aggiunge i restanti 10 e trasforma un Set Iniziale™ in un Set Master™. Il Set Master™ ha tutti i 20 Cacciaviti, oltre alla pietra per modellare le punte correttamente arrotondata e una bottiglia del miglior olio penetrante Brownells™. Per creare il Super Set Master™ abbiamo preso il Set Master e aggiunto 6 cacciaviti a lama fissa con testa esagonale e 3 cacciaviti Phillips "Anti-Cam". NESSUNO dei quattro set include il Blocco da Banco - È venduto come articolo separato e rappresenta un'ottima aggiunta al tuo set, ora o in futuro.
