OEM quality. Looks great. Engraving could be brighter, whatever you are shooting at won't know the difference. Not easy to install unless you use a small needle point pliers to hold the small end of the spring down and maintain tension while inserting the rod. If not you will shoot yourself or through the rifle out the window.

Installed and functions how it should. I only gave it 4 stars because the etching isn't as visible as some others I've gotten from other sites. Still high quality and is a nice subtle addition.

I used a Sun Devil lower that is marked 'Safe – Zombies', so this was just a 'must have' for my new build. It's my long range build - .264 LBC with a 24" bull barrel - don't want those buggers to get too close now.
As with all Brownells products, it is of very high quality. Crisp and well defined engraving. Had it installed with in 10 minutes of receiving it. Looks great.

I really wasn't sure what to expect with this. Some reviews had it as junk while others praised it. My cover came with excellent engraving. Clear and centered nicely on the cover. The finish feels rugged and has texture, seems like it will hold up over time. I gave it four stars only because mine, like others who have reviewed this product, came with noticeable blemishes on the "closed" side. Nothing to cry over but worth noting. That's good stuff!

I specifically ordered the "Zombie Hunter" ejection port cover to review for my blog fans and followers. When I ordered this part, I was in the process of building my newest rifle. My theme for this rifle was the "ultimate zombie killer" and decided to build it in 300 Blackout.

I had already ordered and installed the EOTech "Zombie Stopper" optic from Brownells and a few other zombie related items. I was looking for something that would set my rifle apart from others out there. I was browsing Brownells website and stumbled onto these ejection port covers. This was exactly what I was looking for!

When I ordered this cover, I also ordered the "Don't Tread On Me" and "Join or Die" covers as well. When they arrived, I was surprised to see just how crisp and clear the engravings really were. They really stand out and look great. Installation was a breeze and only took about 10 minutes for each rifle.

I installed the "Zombie Hunter" cover on my Blackout, the "Don't Tread On Me" cover on my competition rifle and the "Join or Die" cover on my SBR. After I was all finished I couldn't have been happier. Not only do they look great but they really add a little something extra to all of my rifles. I plan to order a few more that are offered here and maybe even install one on my work rifle.

Since I have installed the covers on my rifles, I have got nothing but positive comments from other shooters I meet at matches and at the local ranges. If you are looking for something that won't break the bank but really adds something special to your rifle, pick up a few of these covers! You will not be disappointed!

It's not acceptable cosmetically if you want something that looks good. But it's functional and the engraving is fine. However, the finish on the cover is covered with scratches.

Used this on my PSA A3 stripped upper, fits great. The etching is nice and crisp, adds a little personality that I wanted.

Note: (you will need to file a little off each side when installing on a VLTOR MUR1A Upper Reciever)But thats not the covers fault because I checked it on a A1 and a Dpms Flat top and it was a perfect fit. The engraving is very nice. As for the orientaion of the Flag. It is correct as per 4 USC § 1-10. I believe the previous reviewer (flag retreat) is confused with the difference between a left and or right shoulder flag Patch.

This port cover is sleek looking and the cover itself is every bit as sturdy as any I've seen. The problem I've had is the ballbearing that keeps the cover latched closed. This one has a tendency to slip which results in the cover opening when I don't want it to. Moving it around on the gun bench or even setting it down by the buttstock in the safe has opened it.

This is a great piece of work. The flag is "flying correctly" per proper hanging and showing the American flag. Blue field left!

Looks great on my rifle! It really is a nice little feature to help my rifle stand out and it describes me perfectly! I plan on buying another one for another AR build I have. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone, the etchings are nice and clean and it just looks great!

It looked great right out of the box. Shipping was faster than expected. It was a fairly easy install I did it myself with minimal tools. Though I did run into a problem taking the pin out of the stock ejection port cover I had to remove the free floating rail to get the pin out which is no problem with the product itself just a little extra work but was well worth it. Its a nice personal touch to my AR15. Very happy with the results.

The only reason I didn't give this item a 5 was because of the clarity of the item. In other words, you can't see the image that easily. But it's still a great piece. Only word of caution, be careful when taking off your C-clamp, those things love to fly and don't like to let you know where they're going!

The stock cover measures 3.295 on my DPMS .308. The one I received measures 3.135 so it will fit but it might keep out chainsaw size wood chips. There are BIG GAPS on both sides which makes it look like it is made for smaller rifle. Its cool though I'll put it in the safe.

This adds a nice finishing touch on a rifle or carbine build. Many positive comments from others admiring the firearm.

The engraving is very light, and looks like it was scratched in using a hand engraver. I have good eyesight, and I can barely read the writing.

This item came exactly as advertised. It fit perfectly and works as expected.

[...]Ok this fit with no problem at all on my Smith&Wesson M&P I had it on in about 5 mins,looks great and adds a little character to my AR. I would caution to make sure you put something under your rifle, the little clip can be very easy to lose when switching out the covers.

Install was flawless for an M&P15. Only con for me was the lettering for "you'll die tired" is very small.

Installation is a breeze on a Bushmaster Carbon15. Make sure you get an extra spring and C-clip here also, I sent a clip flying on my first install.

Keep oils out of etching,much easier to read (rubbing alcohol on door after cleaning weapon.Tip on clip install, hold with tweezers, & push on (at center) w sharp knife blade.Goes right on with only 2 hands, but entertains many more!LOVE IT!

We carry the line of engraved covers and are mostly impressed with them, this one however is a great disappointment. The American Flag is in retreat on this cover, when it is corrected, I will give it 5 stars.

A good fit on S&W M&P15s does take a few min with small E-clip but take time and do it right. Got this one for mine and "dont run you'll die tired" for the wife. The ingraving is a little light on some of the letters but it is a small area to do it in. They get good comments and some laughs at the range/training

Part came as described. After initial cleaning, I was very pleased with the resolution of the engraved image. Installation was not complicated (about 5-10 minutes using care not to lose the small Ejection Port Cover Retaining Ring). I'd recommend using small hemostats and/or small dental scraping tool to remove this ring.

This dust cover is simply cool. It adds that custom touch to my AR and everone who sees it loves it. It took about 10 min to install, very easy. If you are unsure how to do it there are a few examples on youtube.

Great conversational piece, easy to install, and adds that personalized touch to any AR. Wish the engraving stood out more, but otherwise a great addition. If you have a beefed up rifle, its a must have.

there was a comment about the stag arms door flipping up the right handed models all of them flip down and the left handed models flip up so only on the left handed models will it read upside down

This is the baddest ejection port ever made.

People complain that you have to remove the block then the handguards and the delta ring. But actually you don't. If people knew what they were doing instead of just going by what everyone else says, it would be a better project. Let me tell you from 8 years of gunsmithing. The ejection port cover pin is slightly flexible and so is the ejection port cover. You can slowly and carefully push off the C-clamp and run it out the other side while holding it carefully. Don't make things harder than it really is.

This is a great littgle addition to my AR, gets alot of compliments at the range. Very easy to install, and if you get hung up you can atch the video here at Brownells!!

Very nice engraving, easy to install. Inexpensive way to personalize your rifle without making permanent modifications

Keep in mind that, although this product fits all or most models of AR-15s, the Stag Arms models' (left and/or right handed)port doors flip up, not down. If you decide to purchase this item, the words engraved on the door will not only read in the opposite direction as any other brand AR-15, but will also read upside down. You also may have to remove the gas block assembly on the upper to get the hinge pin removed to attach the door. Better hope the fashion police catch you hanging upside down when you make those crucial zombie kills.

A great conversational piece at the range. My brothers got a kick out of it since we all have our zombie plans. Only draw back is having to remove the barrel nut to install.

Semi-easy to install with an extra set of hands[...]My only beef is that the engraving is almost so light that some of it is illegible and after wiping it to see if it was just oil in the letters it looked like I wiped away the H in HUNTER.For the price and cool factor, I'm giving it 4 stars. Quality of part is 5 stars, engraving is not. On the plus side, I guess the engraving won't be too reflective.

Not the easiest to install because of all the small parts (ie, C Clamp). Make sure you have a diagram in front of you! Other than that a 5min install and the fellas got a good laugh at the range...Also adds a little distinction among all of those M4's at the range...-AB88

I am in law enforcement and when the guys on the range saw this they loved it! Great idea to personalize your AR. Adds the American kick but feel to your rifle! Easily replaces existing cover and looks the same until you fire! Wish there was a was a way to have the "you'll only die tired" bigger.

A nice little touch for the AR. It should be noted that the pin is secured with the world's smallest snap ring. I made sure to have an extra on hand in case the original went flying into oblivion.

Perhaps the option of a sound chip playing the theme from the movie "300" should be offered as well.
