Get both the Lyman Brass Smith press you want AND the Lyman Universal Press Stand to mount it on your bench and save money over buying the two items separately! Lyman’s Brass-Smith Ideal Press is the perfect starting point for beginners or as a precision companion press for experienced reloaders. The compact design of the Ideal Press requires minimal bench space, but it is not some flimsy lightweight! The rugged press frame is made of cast iron, while other components are all steel. The press features compound linkage for optimum leverage, a 1” diameter ram, and a 3 7/8” press opening which can handle all pistol calibers and rifle cartridges with a loaded length of up to 3.700”. The press has a central handle position for easy ambidextrous use and a ball handle for comfortable operation. The Ideal Press accepts all 7/8x14 thread dies and standard shell holders. The press will provide accuracy and precision for beginners or experts, and is the perfect auxiliary press for those wishing to perform a specific operation separate from their main press. FEATURES: Rugged cast iron frame Ambidextrous design Handles all pistol calibers and rifle cartridges up to 3.700 in length Accepts all standard 7/8”x14 dies and standard shell holders Durable powder coat finish Compound linkage and 1” diameter ram Weight 13.8 pounds This bundle also includes the Lyman Brass-Smith Victory Press, the workhorse of our Lyman press lineup. You cannot find a more sturdy, rugged, and rigid single station press available. We started with a heavy duty cast iron “O” frame, and added a 1” diameter ram, and compound linkage. Work the press handle and you will feel the tight, precision fit and smooth operation. Unlike many competitive presses, the Victory Press comes with a newly designed straight line primer feed. The straight-line primer feed is completely reliable and simple to use. Simply push the priming arm forward at the bottom of the ram travel to position it beneath the shell holder. For added safety, the primer feed comes with a heavy steel shield which surrounds the primer tubes. The large 5” frame opening makes even the largest magnum calibers easy to load. The Victory Press is equipped with a comfortable ball handle which can be positioned for either right- or left-hand use. The Victory Press is designed for use with any standard 7/8”x14 thread dies and accepts standard shell holders.
